    Misiones Governor Maurice Closs claimed victory by a landslide in the provincial gubernatorial elections. “This is a historic election, since this province has a history of tight races,” he assured. With 25 percent of the votes tallied, preliminary reports indicate that Closs has obtained 72 percent of the votes.

    Colombia nabs ballroom tango crown

    By Melanie Henderson.- Colombia triumphed last night at Luna Park, coming first in the tango ballroom category of the 9th Tango World Championship finals hosted in Buenos Aires. Colombian couple, Diego Julián Benavidez Hernández and Natasha Agudelo Arboleda, won after competing in a dance-off against Venezuela’s John Erban and Clarissa Sánchez.

    Argentine couple take scenic tango title

    Argentine dancers Solange Acosta and Max Van de Voorde dazzled the audience at Luna Park last night, in the finals of the scenic tango category at the Tango World Championships, which came to a close after an intense two-week array of glitter, glitz and lots of red and black.
