Iran is trying to accelerate its uranium enrichment program, a UN nuclear report showed, but experts said it was unclear when Tehran's new machines could start operating and how efficiently they would work.
The United Nations nuclear watchdog confirmed today that Iran has started enriching uranium at an underground site and said all atomic material there was under its surveillance.
Iran has yet to give an explanation over a small quantity of missing uranium metal from a research site, the UN nuclear watchdog said in a report that voiced concern over possible military links to Tehran's nuclear programme.
Days before resuming talks over its disputed atomic program, Iran said today it had found significant new deposits of raw uranium and identified sites for 16 more nuclear power stations.
