    City lawmakers file for legal protection against night shift taxi fare hikes

    Three Proyecto Sur city lawmakers, along with the DEUCO consumer protection agency, filed for legal protection before a city court and requested the nullifying of the 20 percent hike applied to taxi fares between 10 pm and 6 am.

    Subway control transfer progresses after meeting

    Planning Minister Julio De Vido and City Mayor Mauricio Macri, carried out a meeting to analyse the next steps, following the transfer of the control of the city’s Subway and premetro system. During the meeting, the signing of an agreement was arranged to take place next week.

    'We assume political costs of the Subway fare hike,' City Gov't

    The City Economy Minister Néstor Grindetti, came on stage to defend Mauricio Macri’s administration’s decision to bump up Subway fares to $2.50 pesos per journey, and said that they are open to “assuming the political cost of uncovering a situation that was previously kept quiet.”
