Congress condemns ousting of Paraguay's Lugo

During a special session in Congress on Monday in order to analyze the current situation affecting Paraguay, both houses passed a bill declaring that Argentina rejects “the interruption of the democratic order” in the neighbouring country.

Mercosur won't slap sanctions on Paraguay

The Mercosur trade bloc will not impose economic sanctions on Paraguay despite concerns over the ousting of the country's president, officials said on Thursday. The landlocked nation is, however, on the verge of being suspended from the multilateral organization.
