    Passengers ride for free on fourth day of subway protests

    Demonstrators staged their fourth day of protests over the City Government’s recent decision to a 127% hike in the subway fare. Passengers were allowed to ride the subway for free from 7 am to 10 am, and will be allowed to do so again this afternoon from 4 pm to 7 pm.

    The City Government sanctioned today the dissident subway workers –currently leading the longest subway strike in Argentine history, lasting a total of eight days so far- for five million pesos and reported them to the Judiciary and to the national Labour Ministry.
