    After the US announced Iran’s alleged plans to commit terrorist attacks on Washington which could have involved consequent attacks in Buenos Aires, both the Israeli and Jewish communities in Argentina today expressed their “concern” over the reports, maintaining that the news “did not surprise” them.

    The head of the DAIA organization, Aldo Donzis informed today that Bolivian President Evo Morales, apologized to the Argentine Jewish community after having received a visit by Iranian Defense Minister, Ahmad Vahido, wanted by the Argentine justice system for the 1994 anti-Semite attack in Buenos Aires.

    The head of the DAIA Jewish Community’s umbrella organization, Aldo Donzis, reacted to President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner’s demands for a Palestinian statehood at the UN this afternoon, by saying that the Jewish community would rather wait for “a negotiated solution” with Israel.
