    Argentina received 246,539 foreign tourists in January, 12.4 percent less than the ones who entered the country during the same month in 2012, the Indec national statistics bureau reported.

    Argentine credit card holders buying abroad now charged with 20% tax

    The government today announced it will increase the tax credit cards users are paying when they purchase goods abroad. According to an AFIP resolution the tax will rise from 15 to 20 percent. Buyers of tourist packages to travel abroad will also pay an extra 20 percent tax surcharge.
