The industrial output registered a 3.8 percent drop in September compared to the same period in 2011, and accumulated a 1.1 percent drop in the first nine months of the year, according to the private agency, FIEL.
The Foundation for Latin American Economic Research (FIEL) reported the Basic Food Basket (CBA) rose 2.9 percent in February compared to the previous month, totalled ARG$1,174.20 in Buenos Aires City.
According to the Indec national statistics bureau, the Basic Food Basket registered a slight increase of 0.02 percent in February and stood at $580.26. Meanwhile, the Total Basic Basket rose 0.5 percent to $1,271.51.
FIEL economist Daniel Artana (Foundation for Latin American Economic Investigations), stated today that Argentina “would not immediately be affected” by the economic crises currently affecting the United States and Europe.
