    Neuquén raises alert to 'orange' over Copahue volcano eruption

    As the Copahue volcano continues to erupt, the Neuquén province Emergency Committee, with Governor Jorge Sapag at the helm, decided to raise the alert level from “yellow” to “orange”, and although they clarified this is just a precautionary measure, they did not rule out a possible evacuation.

    Chile lifted the red alert it had previously issued due to the recent activity of the Copahue volcano, located on its border with Argentina, after the Emergency National Office (ONEMI) said it had registered a decrease in volcanic activity.
