    Foreign investors optimistic about Macri

    Key players in the world’s finances are at their most optimistic in a long time regarding Argentina’s business possibilities following Mauricio Macri’s win in Sunday’s presidential runoff.

    BA City budget sees dollar at 12 pesos

    Almost two months after the official deadline, the Buenos Aires City government submitted a 2016 Budget bill to be considered by the Legislature, projecting a 26 percent inflation rate, a 26 percent hike for property tax and an average exchange rate at 12 pesos to the US dollar.

    Soy duty relief denied

    President-elect Mauricio Macri has denied speculation that his incoming administration plans to summarily suspend export duties on soybeans for 90 days, in what was billed as a move to increase the dwindling foreign currency reserves held by the Central Bank.
