Vernet confirms he will be Rodríguez Saá’s running mate

Santa Fe province ex Governor, José María Vernet, confirmed he will be the running mate of Alberto Rodríguez Saá for the Federal Commitment alliance.

“Rodríguez Saá asked me a few days ago. I was not ready for this, it wasn’t my idea to be a candidate,” Vernet told the press. He was Santa Fe Governor from 1983 to 1987, and was Foreign Minister during Adolfo Rodríguez Saá’s brief presidential administration.

“I’ve told my family and we are waiting for the official announcement,” Vernet continued.
