INTI, Labour Ministry workers to go on strike, demonstrate
ATE state workers announced that workers of the Labour Ministry and the Industrial Technology National Institute (INTI) will go on strike and will demonstrate in front of the ministry to claim for better wages and the end of illegal work in the organizations.
The Communication Secretary of ATE, Hernán Vázquez, confirmed to the BuenosAiresHerald.com that the workers will gather in the crossroads of Corrientes and Alem avenues at 11am and will demonstrate in front of the Labour Ministry.
Vázquez assured that if they do not get any answer from the government over these issues, then they will march toward 9 de Julio Avenue.
The workers of the ministry will go on a 48-hour strike to demand wage increase and the end of the illegal work at the organization, where 70 percent of the workers have irregular annual contracts.
On the other hand, the INTI will strike from 8am to 4pm to protest over the 1,700 workers who have an unstable contract.
