‘If offer falls below 22%, we will reject it,’ Baradel
“The provincial government has got to reflect on this,” the unionist assured on the second day of the teachers’ strike this week. “On Wednesday we will stage a protest and march to the Education Ministry in hopes that the province will make a better salary offer. We haven’t been invited yet,” he explained.
“We are asking for a 30 percent hike. The government has to come up with an offer close to that and higher than 22 percent. Otherwise we will reject it,” he added.
He also warned that if the provincial administration doesn’t come up with a better offer than 17.8 percent “the conflict will deepen.”
The Scioli administration warned that it would make “a final offer” these days, but did not disclose any more details.
