CTERA teachers' union announces strike for Monday

CTERA teachers' union announced classes will not start on Monday, as they join the national strike against the 22 percent hike proposal set by the Education Ministry.

During an assembly, representatives agreed the national strike for Monday with "provincial union actions to show the discontent towards the proposal presented by the ministry during the wage talks," stated a communiqué.

Meanwhile, they also decided on a "protest day" for March 6 with a "march to the Nation's Education Ministry, with strikes and demonstrations."

The strike in Buenos Aires province will last 48 hours and will protest against the proposal presented by Governor Daniel Scioli.
