Government takes over cargo train company
The national government officially took over the control of cargo train company Belgrano Cargas for a period of 90 days, in order to "review the performance" of the service.
The measure was published today in the Official Gazette.
Belgrano Cargas was being run by a business group which included Grupo Macri, Grupo Roggio, Emepa company and the Railway and Truck Driver’s labour unions.
The Interior and Transport Ministry put Carlos Zarlenga in charge of the temporary takeover of the cargo company.
