'Peronism is measured in facts, not in years', CFK

Planning Minister Julio De Vido (L) and President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner

President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner assured that “Peronism is measured by what we do,” and ratified her loyalty to the interests of the Argentine people, as she celebrated Loyalty Day.

“Peronism isn’t measured by years, but on what we do, in the commitments each of us has,” and added that even those who do not support her “identify this government with the interests of the people. My loyalty is to the interests of Argentine people.”

Meanwhile mayors of Greater Buenos Aires districts urged the President to generate a discussion so that “the [Kirchnerite] model continues” regarding the possibility of a constitutional reform which would enable Fernández to run for a third consecutive term in office.

“I know that you might get mad, but I would like to propose we start a discussion on this issue. We need you to continue in office, that is what I feel, we must follow that path,” Florencio Varela Mayor Julio Pereyra told the President.
