Cromañón: Court extends former club owner, band leader's sentences

A Criminal Court extended today the sentences of the former club owner Omar Chabán and musician Patricio Fontanet, ex-leader of the Callejeros, with 10 and 7 year sentences for the 2004 Cromañón club tragedy.

The other band member’s sentences remained between three and seven years long including: Patricio Santos Fontanet (7), drummer Eduardo Vásquez (6), five years for manager Diego Argañaraz, saxophone player Juan Alberto Carbone, bass player Cristian Torrejón, guitarists Maximiliano Djerfy and Elio Delgado, and three years for set designer Daniel Cardell.

Chabán’s sentence extension today was pivotal in the case, as it had been reduced by the court last year.
