SC authorizes non-punishable abortion in BA City

The National Supreme Court of Justice authorized the application of the non-punishable abortion, "disregarding" the resolution that had suspended the practice at first.

The ruling of the Supreme Court counts with the signatures of the Supreme Court ministers Ricardo Lorenzetti, Elena Highton de Nolasco, Carlos Fayt, Juan Carlos Maqueda, Raúl Zaffaroni and Carmen Argibay.

The non-punishable abortion request was sent by a 32-year-old woman who was victim of human trafficking.

Judge Myriam Rustán de Estrada, who had ordered the suspension of the practice to be held last Tuesday in Buenos Aires City, was separated from the case.
