Bus drivers lift strike, resume service

Bus drivers from the 60 line decided to lift the strike, despite the fact that they did not reach an agreement during Thursday's meeting with Labour Ministry officials. A new meeting is expected to take part tomorrow at the ministry.

Before the beginning of the encounter, a group of bus drivers carried out a protest outside the Labour Ministry along Alem at 650 in the downtown area of Buenos Aires City.

The protest was against the recent dismissal of four workers.

Earlier this morning another group of drivers from the ex-Monsa line were blocking off the Pan American highway close to Ingeniero Maschwitz.

The protesters had been cutting off two lanes leading into Buenos Aires City.

In addition, another group was blocking off 9 de Julio at the junction with Venezuela.

A strike has been in place since last night after a group of drivers that blocked off the exits last night at Constitución and Ingeniero Maschwitz terminals.

Members of that particular group were carrying out a meeting this morning in order to decide their next steps regarding their complaints.
