'There is no such thing as a dollar clamp, only a democratic clamp,' CFK
While addressing the nation on live television on the third anniversary of the passing of the Media Law, President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner denied the existence of a clamp on the dollar, speaks of “democratic clamp enforcing compliance with the law.”
Speaking from the Bicentennary Museum in downtown Buenos Aires, Fernández assured that over 80 billion dollars were used to pay for imports, debt and tourism between January and October this year.
“What clamp on the dollar are you talking about? There is only a democratic clamp enforcing compliance with the law,” she stated before her audience.
