Supermarket, shopping mall sales soar in August, Indec
Both sectors increased during the eighth month of the year.
Supermarket sales climbed 12.7 percent in August compared to the volume registered during the same month last year, according to the Indec national statistics bureau.
The official data also stated that the sales have gained 0.8 percent against the previous month.
Meanwhile, the shopping mall sales soared 23 percent year-on-year and climbed 5.6 percent against July, the Indec national statics bureau reported.
During the first eight months of the year, it has accumulated a 23.6 percent increase compared to the same period in 2011.
