Sarmiento, two Mitre train line services suspended

The service on two of the three branches of the Mitre train line and the Sarmiento line were suspended this morning after a security guard was attacked and threatened with a gun, the rail company said today in a communiqué.

Trains between Once and Moreno and Retiro with Tigre, Mitre and José León Suárez were all suspended "until 4 am Saturday."

According to the company, the attack took place at 6 am at Olivos station where aggressors beat up the guard who questioned them on whether they were carrying tickets or not. Police sources said they had on them a white handgun and threatened the guard.
