Headless body found in Entre Ríos

The Zárate Brazo Largo bridge.

The headless body of a woman who had been stabbed to death was unearthed close to the Zárate Brazo Largo bridge, in the Entre Ríos province.

A group of fishermen made the gruesome discovery as they were walking on the side of route 12.

The identity of the victim remains unknown.

According to police chief Sergio Rufiner, the victim had to stab wounds on the head.

Local news site El Once digital said that the body was missing its head and its fingers had been removed.

Rufiner announced the case would be handed over to the Gendarmerie, since the discovery was made “right on the provincial border.”

The police official also stressed that “no woman has been reported missing in the Entre Ríos province,” for which he suggested the woman could be from the Buenos Aires province.
