AFIP releases info on tax exemption for abroad purchases

AFIP tax agency informed today that all tax payers who, according to their incomes and affidavits, are not reached by either the income tax or personal assets tax, can “ask AFIP for assistance” in order to get exempt from the new 15 percent tax to all credit and debit card purchases made abroad.

The news was published at the Official Gazette in the “errata” section.

Thus, all tax payers who don’t pay the afore mentioned taxes could attend their corresponding AFIP agency to be informed on how to get a tax exemption certificate.

Likewise, the AFIP informed that citizens can also get assistance on the phone by calling AFIP’s customer service line (0800-999-2347), or by email at: mayuda@afip.gob.ar
