CAME honours Néstor Kirchner on Industry Day

CAME members honoured former President Néstor Kirchner''s efforts to protect national production on Industry Day.

Some 500 small and medium-sized businesses owners from all over the country paid homage on Industry Day to former President Néstor Kirchner in Río Gallegos, whom they said to consider “a defender of national production.”

Led by the head of the Argentine Confederation of the Medium-sized Business (CAME), Osvaldo Cornide, the business leaders unveiled a plaque in front of the Kirchner mausoleum.

“Since the beginning of his administration, Néstor Kirchner understood that the industry sector is the road to any nation’s economic and social progress,” he said before a crowd in a sunny –yet cold- afternoon in Santa Cruz.

The business leaders, many of which flew in from Buenos Aires in a chartered special Aerolíneas Argentinas flight, unveiled a plaque that read: “Homage to the Argentine President Dr. Néstor Carlos Kirchner on Industry Day and in acknowledgement of his defence of national production.”
