    Quebracho violence at British Embassy

    A demonstration outside the British Embassy in Buenos Aires, led by extremist group Quebracho and organized by several left-wing parties and activists’ factions to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the start of the Malvinas War, descended into violence, a heated confrontation with police and the exchange of Molotov cocktails with water cannons and rubber bullets.

    Human Rights Secretary Duhalde dies at 72

    Human Rights Secretary Eduardo Luis Duhalde died yesterday in Buenos Aires, aged 72. Duhalde was appointed Human Rights Secretary by late former president Néstor Kirchner in 2003 and confirmed by President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner in both 2007 and 2011.

    CFK blasts violence against UK Embassy
