Santilli dismisses Gov't accusations against City over waste disposal
The City government Environment Minister Diego Santilli rejected once again accusations made yesterday by President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner against the City government over the management of waste disposal in Buenos Aires, stressing that the price Mauricio Macri's administration is currently paying is “enough.”
Santilli insisted today that the price the Buenos Aires City government pays for the management of refuse is “double” what is paid in Buenos Aires province.
“The City pays 50 dollars per ton of deposited rubbish, while the Province pays 25,” Santilli stated, following the criticisms made by the President over the control of the city’s refuse.
