Olympics: Argentina's basket team rivals defined

Argentina's national basketball team will face the US in the groups' round at the London 2012 Olympics, while Spain will play against Brazil, according to the draw held in Río de Janeiro.

The Group A will be headed by the United States, champion in Beijing 2008 and favourite in London, Argentina, France, Tunisia, and the two teams that classify in the first oplaces in the qualifiers tournament in Caracas.

Group B will be formed by Spain, Brazil, Australia, China, Great Britain and the tema that classifies in the third place at the pre-olympic.

Argentina, winner at the pre-olympic in Mar del Plata and champion in Athens 2004, will debut at the Olympic Games against the winner of Caracas pre-olympics. The US, holder of 13 gold medals, will face France.

Meanwhile, Brazil returns to the competition after 16 years - Atlanta 1996.
