Pixar to make film based on Mexico's 'Day of the Dead'

Pixar Animation Studios, the US-based film studio that made the likes of “Toy Story” and “Cars,” among other cinema successes, announced that in 2015 they’re to release an animated film based on the Mexican holiday: “The Day of the Dead” (Día de los Muertos), the entertainment magazine Variety reported today.

The magazine furthered that, Pixar president John Lasseter confirmed last night that “Toy Story 3” director Lee Unkrich and producer Darla Anderson are to direct the project celebrating Mexican culture.
