Brazil committed to strengthening investments in Argentine oil sector
Brazil’s President Dilma Rousseff met with Planning Minister Julio De Vido to debate about the decision of the Argentine government to expropriate YPF and over the investment of Petrobras in the country.
The half-hour meeting was held at Planalto, the government’s headquarters in Brazil and was attended by Ambassador Luis María Kreckler, Energy Secretary Daniel Cameron, Mining and Energy Minister Edison Lobao, who had met De Vido earlier on Friday.
During the encounter, Rousseff ratified her country’s decision to “strengthen the investment and the presence of the oil company, Petrobras, in Argentina,” a source close to De Vido said.
