CFK calls meeting with Obama 'excellent'
President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner qualified today her meeting with United States President Barack Obama during the VI Summit of the Americas in Cartagenas over the weekend as “excellent”.
“We addressed everything, including our differences. It wasn’t a meeting scheduled to treat our divergences, above all what we wanted was to discuss our countries' relations,” said Kirchner.
She also joked with President Obama about the media coverage of the meeting. “Tomorrow, they are going to say you scolded me,” she joked. “Nobody is going to schedule a meeting to fight. Those occasions are made to set things straight and to bring us closer,” she added.
Kirchner also said the Argentine trade barriers were not a topic of discussion by saying that the country has a “trade deficit” with the United States.
