YPF's stock transactions suspended in New York, Buenos Aires
Shares of Argentina’s biggest energy company Repsol-YPF fell by 11.2 percent in Wall Street and edged down by 2.5 percent at the Merval Buenos Aires stock before both stock markets suspended the company’s transactions for the day.
Surprisingly, the company's shares closed with gains of 0.06 percent in Madrid's Stock Exchange. Stocks plunged after president Cristina Fernández de Kirchner announced today the Government House was sending the Congress a draft bill allowing the administration to expropriate 51 percent of the 57.43 share-package Repsol owns.
