CNV carries out inspections on YPF stock brokers

The national stock market committee (CNV) carried out inspections on Friday on stock brokers who were operating YPF figures, checking for possible manipulations made in the market on Thursday.

Yesterday, the petrol giant’s shares rose by 7.42 percent in the Buenos Aires stock market, in a day that saw some 82.13 million pesos move in the market, of which almost half were attributed to YPF.

Market sources said that the inspections hoped to decipher whether or not brokers made any manipulations to the market trading.

At the end of March, the CNV announced the beginning of an investigation into YPF due to the market variations they have experienced in the last quarter.
