'Vice-President Boudou has lied to us,' says Alberto Fernández
Ex-Cabinet Chief Alberto Fernández sharply criticized Vice-President Amado Boudou today over the way he has handled himself from the beginning of the Ciccone court investigation, which he is involved in, and assured that “the problem” is that the Boudou “has lied to us.”
Fernández reaffirmed that “everything he has done up to now has been a total disaster.”
The ex-Cabinet Chief under Néstor Kirchner said that it wasn’t so much what Boudou is being accused of, but rather his attitude toward dealing with the situation.
“The crime he is accused of is of low importance; the problem is that the vice-president has lied to us,” Fernández furthered.
Vice-President Amado Boudou was accused of embezzlement in what become known as the “Ciccone Case”. The investigation centres on whether Boudou helped printing company Ciccone Calcografica get out of bankruptcy in 2010 and later steered a contract to its new owners to print money.
