Buenos Aires stocks edge down

Buenos Aires stocks dropped in today's trade, with the Merval benchmark stock index moving down by 2.4 percent to 2,502.08 points. The local markets were affected by world market declines.

Meanwhile, Argentina's country-risk rose by 1.4 percent to 944 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.
