City gov’t says it’ll take 15 days to repair storm damage

After the mighty force of Wednesday’s storm that left three dead people, large material damage including collapsed walls, cars destroyed and fallen trees covering the streets of various Buenos Aires City neighborhoods, City Public Spaces Minister Diego Santilli said that “is going to take 15 days of uninterrupted work to repair all damage.”

“There are 40 crews already working at the most affected areas, though it will demand much time to get things back to normal,” Santilli told reporters.

Likewise, the City Minister assured that aid teams “are reaching the most affected areas with water and metal sheets. Compared to what the situation was on Thursday, we have advanced some 60 percent, now we all have to contribute with a little bit of patience.”
