BA stocks plummet

Buenos Aires stocks moved considerably lower, with the Merval benchmark stock index plummeting by 3 percent to 2,605.50 points. The leading panel of stocks accumulated gains of 5.5 percent so far this year.

Meanwhile, Argentina's country-risk fell by 0.7 percent, to 896 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.
