Cameron reconfirms UK's commitment to islanders
UK’s Prime Minister David Cameron talked to British media as today's Malvinas War 30th anniversary is commemorated in both nations, and reconfirmed his commitment to the population of the archipelago invaded in 1833.
In a brief appearance, the British Minister remembered that “It was 30 years from today that the Falkland Islands (Malvinas) population suffered a terrible aggression that was meant to steal their freedom and life style. So, today is a day of commemoration; a day to remember those members of our armed forces as well the Argentine forces, who lost their lives during the 1982 conflict.”
