Nationwide Malvinas War 30th anniversary commemorations begin
Rallies and acts commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Malvinas War are to start at 5pm as war veterans coming from across the country will conduct a series of marches at both Patagonian cities of Ushuaia and Río Grande. Likewise, President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, accompanied by cabinet members and local authorities, will head a televised speech tomorrow as part of the main event in Ushuahia.
The Head of state will give a televised speech tomorrow at 12pm at the Islas Malvinas square in Ushuahia alongside a monument representing the map of the islands and near a cenotaph with the names of those killed in combat.
