BA stocks edge down

Buenos Aires stocks showed losses in midday trade, with the Merval benchmark stock index edging down by 0.3 percent to 2,684.18 points. The leading panel of stocks accumulated gains of 9.3 percent so far this year.

Meanwhile, Argentina's country-risk rose by 2.41 percent, to 849 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.
