CFK announces draft bill looking to reform civil and commercial code

President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.

Speaking before an audience that included members from several political parties, President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner presented a draft bill that she will be sending to Congress soon, which looks to amend the Civil Code and unify it with the Commercial Code. She asked lawmakers to pass it before year’s end.

Fernández de Kirchner assured that the draft bill would reach Congress “in less than a month,” and stated that she would not look to have the Victory Front pass the bill “as it is,” and that she would send another draft bill aiming to create a Bicameral committee that would debate the reform.

The Head of State was joined by several members of her Cabinet and the head of the Supreme Court, Ricardo Lorenzetti.
