Business tycoon Werthein kidnapped and released

Business tycoon and Vice-president of Telecom Argentina, Adrián Werthein, and his wife, Fabiana Ricagno, were kidnapped last night when driving back home as his truck was intercepted by a car driven by robbers at the intersection of General Paz Avenue and Acceso Oeste highway in Greater Buenos Aires town of Ciudadela.

Werthein was in company of his wife, and personal bodyguard, who according to sources managed to jumped off the vehicle and started a shooting with the robbers. This led criminals to abort any plan as minutes later they left the couple at the Villa Madero highway toll booth. Then, robbers drove the truck into Buenos Aires City neighbourhood of Mataderos, where they burned and abandoned the luxury truck.
