'Let us not get used to travelling as if we were cattle,' Cardinal Bergoglio
Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio.
Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio said that the Once train crash was caused by officials who did not comply with their responsibilities as he held a special mass at the Metropolitan Cathedral in remembrance of the train crash victims.
“Almost all the passengers of the train were commuting to make their living in an honest way. We must not get used to travel as if we were cattle. Let us not get used to the fact that nothing is ever mourned in the City, everything is fixed and paid for,” he stated.
The Cardinal, who has presided the congregation for over six years, led the ceremony starting at 6pm in remembrance of the 51 victims of the train crash that occurred on February 22 at Once central station in Buenos Aires.
