Buenos Aires stocks edge up

Buenos Aires stocks were higher, with the Merval benchmark stock index edging up by 1.4 percent to 2,711.87 points. The leading panel of stocks accumulated gains of 2.3 percent so far this month.

Meanwhile, Argentina's country-risk rose by 0.9 percent and stood at 822 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.
