Lanús defeat Emelec, reaches top of Libertadores' Group 2
Lanús defeated Ecuador's Emelec 2-0 in the match for the Group 2 of the Libertadores de América Cup. The Argentine team now leads the group and is getting closer to achieve a place at the pre-quarter finals.
Lanús' Mario Regueiro opened the score only five minutes after the beginning of the first half, and also netted the second goal at 42' of the second half after a penalty kick.
The game was held at the George Capwell Stadium.
