CFK, Piñera sign agreements, praise bilateral 'integration'

President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner held a meeting on Friday and signed bilateral agreements with her Chilean counterpart Sebastián Piñera as part of her two-day official visit to Chile.
The Argentine Head of State arrived to the Palacio de la Moneda shortly after 1pm today to attend the meeting in which agreements on education materials, culture, health and infrastructure were signed.
"We seek to shatter every frontier," Chilean president Sebastián Piñera told reporters after the meeting. He added "the right path is the total and permanent integration between both countries." Cristina Fernández de Kirchner stressed these agreements "build paths" towards integration. "Many projects will come to fruition, because we have a strong passion to do things. Things that are related to the needs of our people lack difference of ideas."
The Head of State returned to Buenos Aires at 8 pm, as she landed in military sector of the Metropolitan airport.
Fernández de Kirchner arrived to the neighbouring country yesterday afternoon and dined last night with her Chilean counterpart and his wife in a welcome ceremony, and she thanked the Chilean support on Argentina's claim over the Malvinas islands sovereignty.
The Argentine Head of State recently announced that national airline Aerolíneas Argentinas will offer three direct weekly flights to the archipelago; its effect on Chilean carrier LAN’s current contract to service the islands has not been established.
This trip is the President's first visit to Chile since her re-election last October and was rescheduled from January due to her thyroid removal surgery.
