River Plate tie Defensa y Justicia

River Plate drew 3-3 away to Defensa y Justicia to join Instituto at the top of the table in the National B Division. David Trezeguet scored twice while Lucas Ocampos netted the other goal for River while Matias Díaz, Luis Bustamante and Ramiro Funes Mori’s own goal did it for the hosts.

Meanwhile, Racing Club beat All Boys 3-0 in Avellaneda with Lucas Castro scoring all the goals in 18, 35 and 78 minutes. All Boys, who had been unbeaten, had Matías Pérez sent off after 58 minutes.

Argentinos Juniors were held 1-1 at home by San Martín (San Juan) for whom Cristian Grabinski put through his own goal after 26 minutes, but Gastón Caprari managed to equalize with his fifth goal of the tournament which left him at the top of the scorers table. Argentinos Juniors, in their first match under coach Leo Astrada, played the last 15 minutes with 10 men as their goalkeeper Nereo Fernández was sent off for a foul.

Late on Friday night, Estudiantes de La Plata beat Lanús 1-0 to take a temporary lead in the Clausura Championship with 11 points from five matches. Debutant defender Matías Sarulyte who was replacing suspended Leandro Desabato scored after 65 minutes while their goalkeeper Mariano Andújar made some good saves in an even match.
