Ramos sworn in as new Transport Secretary

President´s choice: Alejandro Ramos will be sworn in as new Transport Secretary today.

Alejandro Ariel Ramos was sworn in today as the new Transport Secretary by Planning Minister Julio De Vido, following the resignation handed in by Juan Pablo Schiavi. The inauguration ceremony was taking place this afternoon at the Economy Ministry.

Furthermore, it was also said that the changeover was officially published in the Official Gazette today, by way of two decrees.

The new minister's agenda is to be filled with topics left aside by his predecessor, such as the handling of the subway system, subsidies, trains and public transport fares.

Yesterday, the soon-to-be-former Transport Secretary Schiavi gave in his letter of resignation to the President just two weeks after the Once train crash which killed 51 and injured 703 stating "health reasons" as the cause for his stepping down.
