BA province teachers conclude second day of strike

Baradel asks the government for a ‘better wage offer.’

Teachers in the Buenos Aires province finished their 48-hour strike on Wednesday, a protest that on both days was joined by a high percentage of teachers. They are now waiting for a better offer from the Government which they believe “will end the conflict.”

Regarding the possibility of a new meeting between the parts, like the provincial Cabinet Chief Alberto Pérez said, SUTEBA leader said. “It is good that they call a meeting. What would not be good as that they call us to come up with the same proposal,” he said.

“We’re willing to stop the protest until Monday and withhold from making any new decisions so the Buenos Aires province government can summon us all and come up with a better proposal,” he explained.
