Buenos Aires stocks edge up

Buenos Aires stocks experienced gains, with the Merval benchmark stock index edging up by 1.4 percent to 2,687.97 points.

Meanwhile, Argentina's country-risk fell by 3.5 percent to 806 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.
